Amiah has grown up so much!!! Sometimes Brandon and I forget she is only 5 months because she looks and acts so grown. Amiah loves to talk, laugh and complain. She is always busy doing something or trying to get her hands on something so she can put it in her mouth. She also loves to suck on her daddy's shoulder and knee and cover him in slobbers. Amiah loves to throw her body backwards and forwards in daddy's arms and have him catch her. She tried this with grandma the other day and scared her half to death.

Amiah's tricks

Amiah is 3 1/2 months and is growing up so fast. She is constantly trying to sit up and lean forward in our arms. She can roll over from her tummy to her back and loves to talk and sing with her mommy. Amiah has the funniest little laugh it sounds like a cough but it is contagious and makes everyone crack up!! Amiah is so cuddly and sweet, she loves to cuddle and suck on your neck actually she sucks on just about everything. Amiah's newest love is the TV, which her mommy won't let her watch. I read that it is not good for babies and that their brains can't processes the fast images and can cause symptoms of ADHD and hyperactivity. So it is very hard to keep her from watching she will turn and lean from any position to see the TV. So it looks like we are just going to have to keep the TV off when Amiah is awake, it will probably be good for us anyway!! Daddy makes Amiah laugh by kissing her thighs and singing to her rubber ducky and " No no good" (that is something I definitely need to record!!). Well that is just a little update on Amiah.

For Christmas Amiah got a Digital video camera to document all of her milestones and cuteness. But we can't figure out how to download them to our computer, I think the USB cord doesn't work. So we have lots of adorable video's of Amiah doing all her amazing tricks but can't post them. It is breaking Grandma Marcia's heart!!! I recorded her kicking on my camera so hopefully this will help until we can get the video's posted.

Amiah Jaquel

Amiah loves to blow spit bubbles and lick like a little kitty. She also is quite the talker and loves to be heard, her talking is not always happy and isn't afraid to complain. Amiah makes cute noises when I sing to her they are longer and more held out than her normal talking sounds so I figure she is singing along. She has started giggling this week and it is so adorable and funny. We haven't quite figured out her little sense of humor because she only seems to laugh when I sing her one of my old children's choir songs called "When I Sing" it just cracks her up for some reason.

Trying to be a "Mommy Blogger"

So I must admit that I just wrote my first little blog and then accidently erased it. This may be harder than I thought : ) Well the day has come when I've decided to buckle down and make a blog for my family. In order to feel like a good mom and wife this is a requirment...right? No, honestly I thought it would be a good way to keep family and friends updated on our life and adorable growing Amiah. I must admit that I am not a patient person and get frustrated easily with crafts, scrapbooking and other cute things like that. I have always put blogging in that category, and to be honest it makes me nervous. I am worried that I won't be witty and funny and that I won't be deep and sincere. But I figure if I get a few pictures posted and a few cute baby stories my audience will be forgiving. So please don't judge me by my blog!!!
